Our Fab Founders

GBF inventresses E. Jean and Cande Carroll were raised in an old schoolhouse in Dutch Ridge, Indiana. Both were cheerleaders. E. Jean, in fact, was Miss Cheerleader USA. Cande joined the Peace Corp to cure eye disease in Uganda.

E. Jean went on to write for Saturday Night Live (for which she earned an Emmy nomination, no less), Esquire, and Rolling Stone, and to publish several books including the recent hit, "Mr. Right, Mr. Right Now: Man-Catching Made Easy" (Harper Collins, 2004, 2005). She even went on to star in her own NBC cable TV show, Ask E. Jean, while Cande became a mother and an advertising suit.

Over the last decade (sheesh - has it been that long?), E. Jean has had several husbands and her influence has been felt by more than 4 million women a month through her Ask E. Jean column in ELLE magazine. Cande designs websites and married a great great great GreatBoyfriend.
