Where Found: Poker night with "friends"
I met this guy from an online dating site (not this one). I drove to his town to meet him because I really don't mind driving, and I didn't feel like deciding where we would go in my town. We met, had a couple drinks at one bar, went to another one and starting drinking some beers.. GREAT conversation, I thought he was a great guy.
We played pool, and I got kinda drunk. After the place closed, we went back to his place and chilled for a bit, walked to the beach, climbed a lifeguard tower and had a great make-out session.
I was still too drunk to drive home by the time we got back to his place, so he said I could sleep for a bit. He was a complete gentleman and didn't try a THING. I left at 5:30am.
We talked a few more times, but it was almost always me calling him, so I decided not to call anymore. We didn't talk for a while.
I happened to send out a mass e-mail, and sent it to him as well. He acted like he wanted to start talking again, so we did. We made plans to meet one Monday night. I called him Monday during the day to make sure we were still on. He said that I could come, but he had forgotten that he was playing poker with his friends (guys and girls) that night. I didn't really mind, so I said sure. Then he proceeded to tell me that he met someone. She wouldn't be there that night, but he was hoping that it was "just friends" between us, and he didn't want to give me the wrong impression. I told him I did get the wrong impression, and that I would not be coming that evening. He acted like he was surprised and had no idea why I would feel uncomfortable. He said that he wanted to see me because he thought I was "awesome." I told him that it would be too weird for me, since I did want more, and left it at that.
Jerk galore. He had me thinking that we were going to go out on a date that night, (which made sense to me, considering we had already been on a date and had a great make-out session), when all the time, he was seeing someone else.
